Monthly Dharma Service

September 07 2025: Ullambana Festival

The Ullambana Festival, known as 우란분절 (Uran Bunjeol) in Korean, is a traditional Buddhist observance dedicated to honoring and offering prayers for the spirits of ancestors and departed loved ones. The term "Ullambana" originates from the Sanskrit word meaning "deliverance from suffering," symbolizing the act of liberating souls from the realms of suffering.
We invite you to partake in the Ullambana Festival to honor your ancestors, seek spiritual solace, and contribute to the well-being of all beings. Through collective prayers and offerings, we can create a harmonious environment and cultivate compassion in our hearts.
